Our Little Girl turned 2!!!

Yesterday, February 26, 2009 DD turned 2!!! It doesn't seem like she should be 2 already...how time flies! Before you know it she will be going to school...I don't even want to think about that right now. We have already been seeing some TERRIBLE TWO's for awhile now, but it just seems like there is a little more attitude with it now...lol!
We had her birthday party last Saturday, February 21, 2009!!! I will post more on it shortly! For her actual birthday yesterday we went over and had lunch at Grammy's with Uncle M and Aunt E and had Biscuits and Sausage Gravy and after lunch Uncle M, Daddy, and DD went out to feed Uncle M's "heipers". DD doesn't let Uncle M slack on feeding his heifers. I think every time we are over there DD will say "M, go feed heipers or cows"!
After they got done feeding the heifers Daddy and Uncle M went back out to work on fence down at the pasture and DD and I went to the zoo!!! It was a pretty nice day out. It was like 61 and slightly breezy, but not terrible especially for Ks!
We took DD's new wagon that we got her for her birthday and she loved it! The last few times we have went to the zoo DD would sit in her stroller, but there is some stuff she just can't see without getting out and then once she is out then she wants to walk and to hold her hand and push the stroller at the same time is just a pain. Also, I noticed when she is out of the stroller she seems to socialize and interact more.

She rode for awhile and then she decided she wanted to get out and pull the wagon herself. She told me "Sara, you stop" and would move my hand off of the handle and she would walk up to one of the exhibits look for a minute and then grab the wagon and say "Sara, come on"! For those of you who don't know DD started calling me S when she first started talking. She said "mommy" at first, but within a week or two I was "Sara". Don't know why for sure...I guess because everyone else calls me Sara!!! She goes back and forth, depends on her mood or if she wants something...lol!!!

When we were coming out of the Gorilla exhibit and getting ready to cross the bridge I asked her if she wanted to take a picture with the gorilla statues and she told me "No, I fine! Lets go" but later she pet the bear statue! See that's what I mean about the Attitude, but it was really quite cute!

Here are a few pictures of DD on the cow in the petting zoo. She was all about it until she realized the head moves and then she was afraid she would fall.

During supper last night when Daddy asked her about the zoo DD said "Fun", "See Monkeys, See Monkeys at the Zoo" and then proceeded to tell him all the animals that she saw! All in all I think she had a pretty good birthday. She kept going around and saying "Happy, Happy Birthday" and asked after supper last night "cake, Birthday cake"! I told her that we already had her cake! She got up this morning and said "Happy Birthday", so now she thinks everyday is her birthday!!!

Finally Finished!!!

We finally got the rest of DD's room done! Well, except for one shelf. I need to get a decent picture to put in the frames to put on the shelf.

The It's A Girl! wagon on the shelf was from Daddy! He brought that to us with flowers in it the night DD was born, so I found a plant to put back in it!
This is the shelf that I need to get the pictures up on, but I need to take one to put in it and haven't had a chance yet. Hopefully that will be done soon!

The dolls that are on this shelf are mine from when I was little!

I have two of these flower hooks but haven't found a spot to hang the other one yet.

DD has been doing really good about sleeping in her room lately!!! If we give Rowdy a treat and turn the timer on the new night light, which stays on for 10 or 15 min. Rowdy will usually stay in her room long enough for her to fall asleep and she does fine. She is usually asleep by the time the light goes off! Knock on Wood that I didn't just set myself up by writing that things were going pretty good...lol!!!

BEAUtiful Day...

Saturday, February 7, 2009, was gorgeous out...especially for February! It was about 71 degrees! So, we literally spent all day outside!
DD started the morning out by going to ride with Daddy in the tractor or I should say by sleeping in the tractor. Something about riding in the tractor puts DD to sleep, so she will take her blanket and pillow and there is enough room on the floor beside the door and seat that she can curl up and sleep. It must not be to bad because she will sleep the majority of the time!

This picture is from a couple days before, but you get the idea! The little ball that you see through the glass on the right side is DD curled up sleeping and she was only riding for a little bit when she crashed!
After riding with Daddy on the tractor we went out and helped Daddy clean up and re-arrange the big shed.

After we finished with that it was about 12:30 and we had been talking about taking DD down to Donut Bay, which is a park and pond in town to feed the geese and ducks. So, we decided to go buy and pick something up for lunch and go eat at the park and then feed the ducks. I gathered up all the old bread that I had been saving...we had planned to do this a couple of times when it was nice and one thing or another kept us from going... and headed to town! We went by Taco Bell and grabbed lunch and went and sat at the park and watched the geese and ate our lunch! Then fed the geese and ducks when we were done!

After we got done at Donut Bay we headed home and stopped at Uncle M's and Aunt E's. Cousin C was outside riding his 4-wheeler and then he decided he was going to wash his because big brother T was washing his 4-wheeler. DD decided she was going to help and C was so sweet about showing her how to do it and letting her help! After they got done washing the 4-wheeler he was back to riding his 4-wheeler. DD wanted a ride so C took her on a short, very slooow ride. Then they went out back and played on the swing set and in C's clubhouse!
When we got home DH needed to feed and water the cows and heifers and of course DD wanted to help! She has started this deal with grabbing her little wagon and wanting DH to put the bucket of feed for the heifers in it. It doesn't fit very good but she tries it every time and then decides against it and then just helps Daddy carry the bucket.
When we finished feeding and watering it was almost dark so we went in and fixed supper because DD informed us that she needed supper "I eat, I eat supper" as she says. We had a very eventful day, but we sure enjoyed it and it was such a beautiful day for it!!!
